Santa Rosa Residence
Lost in the fires of Northern California back in 2017, the clients decided to take advantage of the horrible situation and finally build their dream home on the plot of land they own which overlooks the rolling hills of Santa Rosa, California. The clients were looking for a comfortably sized house with two wings, one with a master and another wing for their children to stay when they visit. At the core of the house lies an A-frame roof to give the living and kitchen area a sense of grandeur, all while allowing them to take in the dramatic view past their pool, looking into wine country. The couple also wished to have an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) on their property for when their daughter completes college and moves back home. While simple in construction, this unit takes on similar traits with a butterfly roof to complement, but not mimic the architecture of the main house. This project is currently in the drawing development phase, and we are excited to have recently filed for our building permit with the Santa Rosa Building Department!
