For the latest restaurant by well-known Boston chef Tim Maslow, Studio DRAW collaborated with Jonathan Fenelon, who inspired the design and was a member of the restaurant team. Bringing together Studio DRAW’s experience with retail, restaurant design and millwork and Fenelon’s unique lighting, material and furnishing selections, Ribelle is modern yet warm and atmospheric. Texture played a significant role in the design, from the glimmering lighting fixtures to the smooth concrete bar to the use of wall converings and reclaimed wood. Three long elements accentuate the space: a custom central table with sensuous wood seating, a built-in banquette, and the bar which visually continues to the cooking line. The Boston Globe designated Ribelle as Restaurant of the Year for 2013.
