Great Road Kitchen

This casual and entertaining spot is thriving in its suburban setting. The design, a collaboration with Sleeping Dog Properties, is focused on an open, fairly bare-bones space, taking advantage of the high ceilings and natural light. A major challenge was to break down the scale of the space without losing the sense of its entirety. Using simple and eclectic lighting, furnishings and materials, the restaurant has several different areas: bar and shuffleboard, oyster bar, dining and a private function room. Avoiding pretense and major expense, Great Road is a down to earth and inviting place.
