Garden Remedies

We paired up with our good friends and colleagues at Runcible Studios (headed by Marilyn Moedinger AIA, NCARB) in a collaboration to design the new Garden Remedies Recreational/Medical Marijuana dispensary located in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Garden Remedies, founded by Dr. Karen Munkacy, is one of the only physician and women-led cannabis companies in the Bay State. The new store wanted to be individual from their other locations, as it will be their first to offer recreational cannabis to its customers. The goal was to make the retail space feel clean, yet we wanted to avoid making it feel like a sterile medical clinic. To achieve this, we offered a material palette of polished concrete floors, clean whites and greens, and deep dark walnut accents to create a vibrant and open atmosphere that will welcome in the diverse range of customers that GRI serves.
